Yorkshire retro-crooner Findlay Brown will be coming over to America to play a couple shows next week.
Love Will Find You moves beyond the folk sound of Findlay's 2007 debut to a more ambitious – and soulful – place. Produced by Bernard Butler, the album features songs that are lush, intimate, and not a million miles from Richard Hawley:
"I’d already started going back and listening to a lot of records I’d grown up on, like Elvis Presley, soul music, doo wop, Phil Spector, The Righteous Brothers and the like. I had an idea about making a modern record influenced by the songwriting of the late 50’s and early 60’s. I just started writing, trying to work out what made a universally great song"

Following a UK tour with Duffy last fall, Findlay comes to the U.S. for a few shows in February, and will release Love Will Find You here in the spring.
- Feb 3 Los Angeles, CA - Hotel Cafe [7pm]
- Feb 5 New York, NY - Pianos [8pm]
"All That I Have":

I know a certain blog reader of yours with the same influences but a helluva lot better. That's just me though. haha.
