Here's the notable stuff that's out in the U.S. on Tues July 8th...

Sunny Day Sets Fire - Summer Palace [Vid. Really good debut album from London-Italy-Toronto-Hong Kong 5-piece.]

Ratatat - LP3 [Stream. Vid. Mp3.]

Albert Hammond Jr. - Como Te Llama [Stream. Vid. I liked his first solo album, but this one is just really crappy.]

Ron Sexsmith - Exit Strategy of the Soul [Stream. Mp3.]

Billy Joel - The Stranger: 30th Anniversary [Vid. 3 CDs + 1 DVD.]
For a second I thought it was a new Sunny Day Real Estate album!!
I'm going to see Ron Sexsmith on Aug 6 - should be great!

I agree on the Albert album... crappy...
the ratatat and sexsmith aren't their best either.
ratatat have got to shake up a formula that is getting a bit washed up.
Anyone else think that the new T.I. song "No Matter What" sounds like it samples Ratatat on the chorus? I'm curious if it is.

Why do you think the new Albert Jr. album is crappy, Torr? I think it's pretty much the same as the first one, ie. very good and catchy guitar music. A bit rockier this time. My favourite tracks are The Boss Americana, Rocket and Spooky Couch.
