Out in the U.S. on Tuesday
Here's the notable stuff that's out in the U.S. on Tues April 29th...

South - You Are Here [Album stream. 4th album from London 4-piece.]

Portishead - Third [Their first album since 1997.]

Your Vegas - A Town And Two Cities [Vid. Debut from LA-based band who are originally from Leeds.]

Joy Division - The Best Of [Stream. 2nd CD is 8 tracks recorded at two separate Peel Sessions in 1979.]

Echo & The Bunnymen - Breaking the Back of Love [Live album from 2005 at Shepherds Bush Empire.]

Tony Visconti: The Autobiography - Bowie, Bolan and the Brooklyn Boy [Forward by Morrissey]
What do you think of the South record? It's not With the Tides, but it's better than Underground Stars.

i've only gotten a chance to listen to the new South album once but it's sadly sounding just as uninspired as the last album, doh!

But maybe that was just itunes sales.

Maybe as uninspired as far as writing goes, but I think the production has more to do with it.
South says they don't want to make the same record twice, which they don't have to do -but goodness, these last two are a sad departure from that great '03 album.
This one is better than the last, but still way under their potential.
