Delays release "Hooray" video; new album out in May

Is it just me or can Delays do no wrong? This video for upcoming single "Hooray" reminds me once again that they're definitely one of my favorite bands of the decade. Not only is this a great song, but it also has a video which worth watching all the way thru. Now that's a combo that rarely ever occurs anymore! The key to the video is the cheerleaders making great use of their giant cube props. Watch and enjoy.

"Hooray" will be released as a single in the UK on April 28th, and the band's third album, Everything's The Rush, will be released in the UK on May 5th. No word on a U.S. release, so save up those pennies to buy the import!

BTW: I'm still really enjoying the tracks from Diego Garcia (of Elefant) that are on his myspace. Definitely check them out if you haven't already.

I've always somehow missed out on The Delays but this song is really very good, I like it a lot. Especially the verses (the chorus reminds me a bit of the Enemy song Away From Here).

I love the song "Nearer Than Heaven", but the last album of theirs didn't really do it for me. This new vid looks great though and the song is fantastic.

...although a pet peeve of mine is when a video director has a close up of the drummer and the snare hit is off (happens right at the start of the video!!). How do you miss that!?

i refuse to have to import this thing.

they are a personal favorite, but surely anybody with a record label can see they deserve a release here a lot more than most of the things that get brought over. who do we have to talk to in order to get this thing put out in the states??
