Stream 3 hours of MTV from 1983

BoingBoing.net has pointed out this 3 hours of MTV from 1983 (commercials and all) that is now on google video.

This is absolutely hilarious and fascinating since I was 3 years old at the time and thus don't remember TV from back then.

VJ Mark Goodman looks like he's chillin' in your basement as he slowly and methodically walks you through everything single detail of The Police's 1983 American tour.

The VJ segments are so completely slow and quiet; it's such a welcome change from what we see on TV now.

Pressing news that the VJ tells us about:

• "David Gilmour is planning a solo tour. The way it looks like right now Pink Floyd is pretty much on break, if they haven't broken up all together."

• Quiet Riot are up against Michael Jackson in Friday Night Video Fights.

Looks as if word is now getting out about a video that's been up on Google Video for over a year now.

If you download the mp4's quickly, stick it in your iPod, you'll get STEREO SOUND right off the bat!

This is the best video I've seen in a very long time. MTV or whoever has the rights to these video could be making good money IF they were to release these on the Internet or on DVD. Do they need music clearence or what? Old groups and record companies would
both be making money plus those who release
it. So....its a Win - Win situation here.
