Out in the UK on Monday
Here's the notable stuff that's out in the UK on Monday August 20th.
Albums:
Richard Hawley - Lady's Bridge [I love the guy, but it's another album of the same stuff.]
Kula Shaker - Strangefolk [Their 3rd album after all these years.]
Singles:
Hard-Fi - "Suburban Knights" [Vid. Ho-hum 1st single from their new album. Also, lame no-artwork artwork. They probably paid a graphic designer a big chunk of money to make that statement for them.]
Remi Nicole - "Go Mr. Sunshine" [Vid. Interesting new female English artist.]
Maximo Park - "Girls Who Play Guitars" [Vid. Good 3rd single from Our Earthly Pleasures.]
Kaiser Chiefs - "Angry Mob" [Vid. Lame 3rd single from Yours Truly...]
Yeah, Hard-Fi's "no artwork" gimmick has really backfired on them. It's not clever at all. And didn't The Beatles already do it all 40 years ago with "The White Album"? Also, Suburban Knights is not an impressive single, it's too similar to their first album. Although not bad, one would have hoped for some sort of progress.
