The Cooper Temple Clause Call It Quits

1197957079_m According to their bulletin on myspace The Cooper Temple Clause have called it quits. This is unfortunate as their latest (3rd) album Make This Your Own is quite good, but wasn't released in the U.S. I also never got to properly see them live, only opening for The Cure in an amphitheatre in the middle of the day (not exactly ideal!)

It Just Wasn't Like The Old Days Anymore

I keep thinking that Jarvis' solo album is pretty good, then I go back and listen to tracks like Pulp's "Babies" (vid above) and it reminds that the new album isn't bad, it's just not special. Anyway, I won't be seeing Jarvis next week since I sold my Coachella tix to fund my SXSW trip. Instead, I'll see various Coachella acts at their proper LA shows: The Jesus And Mary Chain, Travis, Rufus Wainwright. Sadly there are no LA shows for Jarvis or Fields.

BTW: I scored tix to Moz's Jimmy Kimmel appearance tonight! Should be great.
