Monday bits & bobs
- Stream Muse's new album at their myspace.
- New PSB video for "Minimal."
- The Smiths - Aug 28 '86: Laguna Hills - Irvine Meadows Ampitheatre
- Camera Obscura - Dearmot O'Leary session.
- 4 tracks from The Boy Least Likely To album.
- A 6-song Neil Halstead solo gig from '04.
- Bootleg video: MMJ doing "Wordless Chorus" at their Boston Pops show.
- New band alert: Air Traffic from Bournemouth.
- New Mojave 3 b-sides!
"Star In The Sky" [3:53]
"Bright Lights" [2:12]
A clip of some kids (faking for TV) going crazy for M3!
Blogosphere mixtape:
- The Dears - "Hate Then Love" [the new single]
- Chris Isaak - "Notice The Ring" [holy crap, he turned 50 today!]
- Rialto - "Monday Morning 5.19"
- Keane - "We Might As Well Be Strangers"
- The Rosebuds - "Boxcar"
- Battle - "Tendancy"
- The Clientele - "6am Morningside"
- Soft - "Higher"
And lastly, bad news for Dallas folks: the Arcadia Theatre-burned down last week. I never got to see a show there, and yet it still makes me sad. Tons of bands played there in the early '80s: The Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen, Souxisie & Banshees, Erasure etc.
What was the PSB vid that had the guys from Little Britain in it?

great to listen to the smiths live. I don´t actually recall having that bootleg in my collection, but anyway ALWAYS a joy to hear these songs. CLASS!

Wow, a Rialto reference. Been a while since I've listened to them. Might have to pull that disc off the rack. And that Smiths bootleg is pretty much the Holy Grail of Smiths bootlegs. Listen to Morrissey to crazy during I Know It's Over. Excellent posts.

Matt, the I'm wit Stupid video is the one with the little britian guys in it, and its surprisingly not very good or song. Same thing for this song.
That rialto track is a mellowdramatic classic. I liked both their albums and his solo album.

Thanks torr - I would agree - I haven't been a fan of recent PSB, but I love Little Britain (although season three was/is a little tired)

ah rialto.. how we miss you louis!!
whats funny is I played a show opening for louis at a place called cafe bleu in L.A. about 6-7 years ago right when the hype around them had died down a bit.. you can also catch louis around that same time on the Mayor of Sunset Strip DVD.. the special features shows him in the studio working on songs... its pretty cool..almost as cool as the extra features of Liam and Noel are on there..
