Here's my little contribution to the xmas mix trend. None of these songs appear on the three other mixes I've seen.
- Embrace - "I Believe In Father Christmas" (Emerson Lake & Palmer cover)
- Mew - "She Came Home For Christmas"
- Coldplay - "2000 Miles" (
PretendersRay Davies cover) - Band Aid 2004 - "Do They Know It's Christmas?"
- Keane - "White Christmas"
- Chris Isaak - "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"
- Manic Street Preachers - "Last Christmas" (Wham cover)
- Travis - "River" (Joni Mitchell cover)
- Belle & Sebastian - "Santa Claus Go Straight To The Ghetto" (James Brown cover)
- Belle & Sebastian - "The Twelve Days Of Christmas"
excellent mix!

I just remembered I also have embrace doing a xmas song (Father Christmas?), I'll add that tonight unless someone wants to upload it before then and share the link.

2000 miles is actually a Ray Davies (Kinks) cover. Pretenders version is a cover of the original.

Torr!! PLEASE upload that Embrace cover!
The Band Aid 2004 song would have been great without the rapping in it....
The Travis version of The River has been an Xmas staple of mine for many a year now...
One song that is IMPOSSIBLE to find is a Canadian band called The Skydiggers doing a version of Good King Wenceslas. It was on the same CD that Crash Test Dummies (ugh!) did The First Noel...
Great mix, man!
