Tentative Moz release dates

Message from Moz via True To You:

...We are in the mid-stages of the mixing process on Ringleader Of The Tormentors here in Rome, and it has been a dazzling experience. Tony Visconti has been exceptional, and we are all very proud of the results.

The first single will be released in the second week of February, and the album will follow around March 20th....We have moved our Italian and Greek and Turkish dates to February which will be the tour to launch the album....

I am yours forever, MORRISSEY.

On Visconti's site he has a bit of a diary about the recording process, with pix. It looks like there's a small kids-choir on one of the songs (a bit of a "Panic" pt. 2 perhaps?)

4 new vids for upcoming UK singles

Kubb - "Wicked Soul" [vid]

Elbow - "Leaders of the free world" [vid]

Kaiser Chiefs - "Modern Way" [vid]

Gorillaz - "Dirty Harry" [vid]

3 new Jarvis Cocker tracks!

Here's a track by Jarvis Cocker (formerly of Pulp) which will appear on the new Harry Potter soundtrack.

At the 1:10 mark it sounds like a song from Separations. ANA has Jarvis' other 2 songs from the soundtrack. One of 'em is awful, but the other ("Magic Works") is the best of all 3 and sounds like Jarvis being backed by Will Sergeant. Jarvis is currently working on his debut solo album with Michael Andrews on guitar (he worked on the Donnie Darko soundtrack.) PSNYC says they're gonna play a secret gig in LA. If anyone finds out anything more on this let me know.

The Veils begin recording 2nd album

Veilswriter

The Veils are confirmed to begin sessions for their second album in Los Angeles with legendary producer Nick Launay. Launay was among the most successful producers of the post-punk era, helming records for many of the biggest bands to emerge from Australia (where Finn from The Veils lived for many years.) But the thing I like best that he's worked on were the radio-mixes of "Joy" and "To Earth With Love" by Gay Dad.

There will be a a 5 page piece on the band's new line up in Dutch music magazine OOR, featuring pictures as well as the most in depth interview to date. Sophia also appears in the first issue of the new London fashion magazine Lula.

ABC News recently used the strangely prophetic "Valleys of New Orleans" in the international benefit Shelter From The Storm to help aid the families of victims of hurricane Katrina. Finn & Liam recently performed acoustically on Dutch TV. If anyone knows where I can find audio of it, please post below.

And how random is this: I was watching The Upside of Anger the other day and in it there's a scene in which the sisters are making a meal in the kitchen and listening to "Lavania", which is from the brilliant debut album The Runaway Found.
