New York 4-piece Levy (named after singer-guitarist James Levy) will see their debut album given a proper-release on Sept 13th by One Little Indian Records (who've been on a roll lately with Tenderfoot and BC Camplight.) Their music is a refreshingly laid-back and pretense-free entry into the NY indie-rock scene. It's so nice to find a new a band with subtle guitar riffs and vocals that aren't trying to beat you over the head. The band's sound veers from twee-esque vocals to a more Billy Bragg-type bellow, all overtop of Longwave/Strokes guitars at their least frantic.
- "Rotten Love" (3:12)
- "On The Dance Floor" (4:03)
It's a good release.

I love Levy for the reasons you said. (And BC Camplight is awesome.)

If you're trying to say they want their name written in all caps, I don't play that game. See also Stellastarr (no asterik), and I will not make certain letters lowercase for bands like Doves.
