Dungen - Ta Det Lugnt [3rd album from Swedish multi-instrumentalist Gustav Ejstes; watch the video for "Panda"]

Pickin on Franz Ferdinand
- A Bluegrass Tribute [part of the Pickin' On series]

"Take Me Out"
"Darts Of Pleasure"
"40 ft."

A cd-single of Wolfman ft. Pete Doherty's "For Lovers" will finally be released in the US. Can you say Rough Trade America cashing-in on Pete's tabloid-life?

The Redwalls De Nova. I'm not sure why a digipack warrants a different release-date.

Beulah - A Good Band Is Easy To Kill [DVD]

Woodie Guthrie - This Machine Kills Facists [DVD]

Out in the UK on Monday

Here are the singles that are out in the UK this week, that are pretty good to me.

Turin Brakes - "Over and Over" [Watch the vid, singer's hair is long now; other guy has a moustache.]
2nd single from their 3rd album Jackinabox. First single "Fishing for a Dream" went #32.

Alterkicks - "Oh Honey" [Download a clip; debut single from Liverpool-5-piece]

The Rakes - "Work Work Work (Pub, Club, Sleep)" [Watch the vid; 4th single from forthcoming debut album Capture / Release.]

Morning Runner - "Gone Up In Flames" [Watch the vid at their site; debut single from Reading-4-piece who sound like Longpigs-with-piano.]

Alfie - "Follow Your Religion" [stream a clip at their site]
First single from upcoming 4th album Crying at Teatime

The Stands - "When The Night Falls" [2nd single from Horse Fabulous]

William Campbell & Kevin MacNeil - "Local Man Ruins Everything" [former Astrid singer teams up with a poet for a rather bizarre song. It's essentially a narrative by MacNeil over a minimalist acoustic guitar backing, with Campbell taking over for a sung chorus.]
