Here it is, the new Depeche Mode single:
ifilm has a rough-cut of the video. [Thanks to LHB for the heads-up on it.]
WOW! That is a scoop. I like the song A LOT, but the video is unfinished and I felt skeevy watching it, like a thief!

Really like the sound of the new Depeche Mode song. Thanks for the links.

The keyboards at the beginning of the song sound a bit like a Kent song, I can't remember which one, I think it's "747".

Definitely. It really does have a Kent vibe to it. But that isn't a bad thing. I know you think so Torr.

I do think Martin Gore has written some classic tunes but between you & me this song sounds like any other Depeche Mode. Nothing outstanding. nothing great nothing bad, nearly as exciting as coldplay's return !

Yeah. It reminds me a bit of Kent, which is a good thing to me. Also sounds a bit like Depeche Mode is going back to their "older" sound, or like any other DM as the previous poster.
Although, I wasn't hyped up on Coldplay's return. Ha. Ha.

PS: Excellent work, Torr!

Nevermind. I finally download it. I think ‘Precious’ has this special DM touch that the bad missed with ‘Ultra’. I love the rhythm of the song and the catchy synth that take us back to the ‘Black Celebration’ era. If this is the first single, and we all know that the best DM songs are not their first singles, new album it’s going to be possibly the best in a long time.

Hey newstreamer !
the coldplay nod was only a joke...
Cheers

Hey John! Ah, okay! ;)

Alright! This is a return to form. I could do without that guitar in the end but for the most part this is DM being influenced by, well themselves.
If you know of bands like Camouflage, Cause and Effect, De/Vision, this is more like that.

This one is definitely a grower - the more you hear it, the better it is.

Unfortunately, the track and video have already been removed... If someone can point me to a new URL, I would be hugely appreciative.
